I built this one early last year, thought I had already posted it. The Nomad was built as my entry for the K&J Kruize, hosted by Ken Hamilton, and quite an event! Anyway, I wanted a nice display setting for it, especially so I didn't end up losing it among my bigger stuff! I drew out the 3 wall sections and cut all the lumber myself. The floor was painted with gray primer, then dusted with white, black, and red to give the impression of an epoxy floor coating. The outside walls are plastic sheet siding, and made the window, side door, and workbench myself, while the toolbox, air compressor, and floor jack are aftermarket. I added the hose and electrical cord were added as well. The stack of wheels/tires are what came with the kit, thought they would add a nice touch to the scene. Thanks for looking!

I like it Sully but I have a question. What scale is it? The base looks like a 1:24 scale base which would make the garage and car much smaller.

Thanks! It is actually 1/87 (HO railroad) scale. The base is from an HO scale semi that was available thru WalMart a couple of years ago. I removed part of it and installed sheet plastic for the flooring. If you are interested, here is a link to the album with all the pics I took of the construction: s207.photobucket.com/albums/bb298/fireguy14/HO%20Nomad/display/

Wow thats cool Sully. I'm even more impressed now that I find out it's HO scale. I love the floor too. Very realistic.
