White Mountaineer 4 by

This is a White Freightliner Mountaineer 4x4 with a 8000 gallon tanker body. The truck is used by the Brookhaven National Lab,to supply water to the 'stumpjumper' rigs in the 50,000 acre Pine Barrens. The truck is modified with scratch built 4x4 system and repowered with a Cat v8 and Allison Automatic.The cab was shortened to the 63" version and back dated to a 1964 single headlight unit. The tanker body was shortened by one compartment to bring it down from 9700 gal to 8000 gal.. Both units have the suspension raised for the dirt fire roads. Paul
