Usually, when I build a model, "T/A" means I'm working on a Pontiac, but at my last local club meeting one of the other members brought a Revell 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A. I thought it looked pretty cool, and I had one in my stash, so I figured "why not"? This one will be built pretty much OOB with engine wiring. Got the Sublime paint laid on it....sure is green, ain't it? LOL!

Got some more work done. Since the kit has no shocks, I found some in the parts box and added them.... Also added a heater blower motor, made from scrap sprue, to the firewall.......

This is going to be nice when it is done. Keep posting in-progress pics. It's nice to see the work that goes into people's models. Many times, unless they point it out, you would never know how much work goes into a finished model.

Thanks guys, and Bobby, it's great to be building again! I know its not "factory correct", but I like BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on my personal vehicles, and since I had some Shabo dry transfers, thats what I used. Attention, Revell....or any other kit maker, for that matter.....I'm not whining or anything, but it sure would be nice if you could start molding the wheels and beauty rings as seperate pieces. That sure would make detailing and painting easier for us old curmudgens with bad eyesight..... I'm probably going to put this away for a week or so in order to go to work, but I WILL finish it when I get back!

Looks great. And I love those tire transfers. Also I'll second that request to Revell about separately molded beauty rings. Especially on those Challenger wheels. What a nightmare to detail paint.

Thanks everyone! One thing I like to do to protect those dry transfers....after I apply them, I seal them with a coat of Future, then when that dries hit 'em with some Dullcote. I got a little more done today. I made some seatbelts from masking tape and scrap styrene, then got the interior assembled....nothing fancy there, just the way Dodge made 'em! LOL! Also got all the foiling finished. I hope to get some more done tonight. I go back to work tomorrow, so it'll have to sit until I get back....about a week or so. Can't wait to get her finished!

Looking good! Awesome interior and I love the color. I also agree about the separate beauty rings and I would also like to see them on Chevy Rally wheels. Ed
