Hey Slim very nice build. I was wondering something though, is the red oxide primered hood supposed to be that way to represent something common in those days that the teams did? Or like a new hood they had to put on the car? Or you just haven't painted the hood yet? ;D I really wish I woulda been around to see these old cars beat each other up on the dirt on a hot summer night. Nice job again Slim.

Excellent job on this one, I can almost hear it backfire as he backs off the gas going into turn one! You really got me wanting to build a model of MY old race car, but I've already got 12 projects in the works now! Thanks for sharing! Brings back lots of memories!

Thanks for the comments. Hood got crunched in the heat race, so they borrowed one for the feature. Rules say you can't race without a hood!

I'm really digging this old dirt racers! This is another cool "race car". Dare I say "stock car"?....lol. Kind of wish they'd still be like that.
