This technique is probably used by many but I thought I would put it here for anyone who may not know about it. You always read on the "post here first" section that people want to see pics of everyone else's builds and to learn something. Here is my humble contribution. It isn't just for interiors but that is what I used it on. I apologize in advance for some of the fuzzy pics. I noticed on pics of the real car's seat that the head bolster was not solid but open. I figured it was easy enough to open and would be fairly visible. I started by drilling small holes in the corners. Then I drilled a series of small holes along the perimeter of the shape I was going to remove. After I had all of my holes drilled I took a small saw and cut along the holes.....good thing I liked "connect-the-dots" as a kid Then it was on to the files. I used a round file in the corners and a flat file on the sides. I finished up with flexi-files. It didn't turn out too bad and took a short time to do.
