The MPC Build is still a go. Just thought it would be good to start it late summer. Looking at a July start with a Jan 1st end date.
Box stock with only aftermarket or other source decals.
Not a contest, just a fun build.
So dust off your old MPC kits and get ready to build.

Thanks Bobby. Remember yall, this is about building something. After getting into the Kurtis Kraft, I realized how fun it is to just dig in and build, not worrying about accuracy or authenticity. I like the MPC kits for the range of subjects, and they are not that detailed. Plus, most of them came with a lot of variations, so some cool stuff can be done without a lot of extra work. Also, BMF is allowed. So, get ready and let's have some fun!

What are the rules for what is in the box itself? Can we modify anything?

It's basically use what is in the box, like you are building for a box stock class at a show. It's a modeling exercise to just build for the fun of it, with what is in the box. Allowances for BMF and other decals, but no kit bashing or modifying. Putty to fix flaws, but that is about it. Bobby can chime in here as well, but due to availability of MPC kits, the AMT reissues could be allowed, as long as they were originally MPC kits.

Straight out of the box. You can use BMF and other decals.

I don't think I have any real MPC kits. I'll look to make sure but I think not.
Alex.

It can be a reissued MPC kit that AMT did.
