If your going to build a real one, please post photos here as if it were a model for us all to watch the progress. I'll even send you one of the resin cast ones, on me, when I see the real one being built. ;D Now that's a deal right there!

Heck Yeah, That's a very generous offer !! I'm very serious about building this trailer, but it's not going to be a week end project. Got the old oak box off of the frame today, then some cross members need to be added as you can see Monday I'll take it to the lumber yard to get it weighed-for the licence plate, I would like to do that before the build begins. I've made a couple copys of the '47 Mechanix Illustrated, one for the garage and one for in the house-I'll keep ya posted. Cecil

Got the frame weighed at the lumber yard--248 lbs. so now I can start adding some cross members to the frame, found some 2 in. X 2 in. sq. steel for that and this aluminum sheets for the floor it's .250 thick,10 ft. long, one sheet is 4ft.wide and the other is 3 ft. I plan on staying very close to the original 1947 plans, but the wood floor would be a weak point, and on page 5 of the print out in the kitchen area it says "asbestos sheet" Don't think I'll stick to that detail either......
