Yet another junkyard-bound model has passed through my hands, and it's another Mopar. My buddy Tom's model RR layout is gaining quite a few cars for the scene, and this is another 'familiar' one(he has known the 1:1 car's owner since about 1978). Here's the real car: And here's the nearly-finished model: public.fotki.com/VWDave/my_model_cars/model-railroad-projects/charlies-68-charger/This was another very fun build, and it allowed me to test some new weathering techniques. I just need to add a few tie-downs and wood pieces to hold the tarps down, and it's ready for the layout.

Thanks for the compliments, guys; this was a bit of a 'quickie' build, but it was a lot of fun making it look the part. Very cool. Cant wait to see the whole train layout when its done. I'm hoping to put together a Fotki album of the layout soon, but it will be a while before it's really 'done'...we really only mess with trains during the colder months, and it's been about 6 years since the whole project started. Tom lives in a ranch-style house, and the layout takes up nearly 90% of the basement. Attached is a pic of the mountains that run right to the ceiling, from when they were freshly painted. I'm making plans for a tour with a couple of my local model car buddies sometime in January. Attachments:

Hey, pull the tarps off that thing and let's see how much work there will be to restore it ;D.
