i don't know if this counts as a model, but my niece sahra built this crane from a lego kit. it's 17 inches tall from the ground to the tip of the boom. i wanted to help her on it so bad, because i thought it was so cool, so she finally let me put the little man together ;D ;D.

I know what you mmean about helping. My 6 y/o got her first Lego set for Christmas. She wanted me to help, and I had forgotten just how much fun I had with these!
