I haven't been around much, but I HAVE been working on some model projects...a couple of helicopters (my second love) and this car. This is not exactly a model like I'm used to, but a 1/24 diecast car that I disassembled, repainted, and rebuilt for a guy that asked me to build a model of his father's race car from the 70s. It's a 1964 Chevelle, made by a company called Action Diecast, and was originally a Dale Earnhardt #8 car. Stripping a diecast body is easy....aircraft grade paint stripper! Paint is Dupont automotive base coat-clear coat, and the simple decals are homemade on my printer. Wheels are from Fred. This was a lot of fun, and the guy I built it for was really happy with it.
