Toyota Hilux Show Truck Ride DONE!!!!

Hey everybody heres what i've been doing over the last couple of weeks. Took a break from the Scout as i was getting a bit burnt out on it so i'm doing this as a "qiuck" build just so i could finish something its the Aoshima Toyota Hilux with the US dash i went far off from what i have been building and went the show route with tthis build i saw all the chrome in this kit and started drooling LOL i didnt change the kit much i added a little bit more lift to accept the Ground Hawgs and a photoetch steering wheel very little "extra" detailing still have the interior to finish up and make the front "prerunner" bumper and the tube rear the colors are straight from the rattle can the orange is the Testors lacquer Fiery Orange and the black is just Tamiya's gloss black i really liked the way this Testors paint went on anyway here are a few pics im hoping to get this finished if not at least close to finished this weekend as always any and all comments and questions are welcome

Great color combination. I like the way you stayed with all the orange theme with the shock boots and rubber bumpers.

Heres a small update on this build and a favor from you guys first my update its moving along fairly well got it just about done just need to finish making the rear bumper and i need to make a decision on the front bumper more on that later now for my update the interior here are couple of pics of it befor i install it into the body i added the photoetch steering wheel and a cd that halfway in the player just for something different i also painted some of the parts the same as the body to give it a little more of a custom look hope you like



Ok now for what i need your help with i cant make up my mind on what to do with the front bumper here are my two choices one is painted to go with the body this one is my favorite and the other is just the chrome no paint help me make up my mind Thanks heres the pics and as allways any and all comments are welcome

My vote is for the painted one. It blends with the fender paint well and just looks right. I love my steering wheel there also! Nice job!

willie, the wrecker project is on hold for awhile. i had some medical issues a couple months ago and have been taking it easy. i started on a boxstock build for the roanoke show. the wrecker project will resume later this year. hope to see you in roanoke, later buddy.
