This was the second or third glue kit I assembled, something like 30 years ago! Sometime in the past I had cut the center out of the hood, for a supercharger or something, and at some point I shaved the lower lip off the nose. After having to box up and move all my stuff after mom's fire, I decided I had enough new projects so I opted to just reassemble this one. Found most of the pieces, including the rear fender flares which never got installed, along with the decals which I never got around to doing. To replace the hood and a couple of missing items I picked up a couple more of these off ebay, so now I think it will be cool to build another one just to compare the differences! The underside is brush painted black, and I have not found the original motor. Not sure if I am going to worry about it or not. Started by washing the body, then used final detail polish to really clean it. This shined it up considerably more than it was, oh well. Also put on a new set of wheels and tires. The originals were in poor shape, and I had lost a spinner way back when I first built it. Kinda like having some of the old stuff out, plus I have another for my shelf and had a lot of fun getting it together! Thanks for looking!
