Just finished up a model of the third car I ever owned, a 1969 Nova non-SS with a 6 cylinder Powerglide. This is built from the new Revell SS kit using a grille and bench seat from Missing Link Resin. My car was as plain as you can get, except for a vinyl top, which I made from masking tape. The engine is from a Trumpeter '63 Nova, and the Powerglide came from Morgan Automotive Details. A pretty good match for the factory Cortez Silver paint turned out to be Testors aluminum metalizer with a couple coats of clear lacquer. I always kept the body pretty clean, but since it was a 6 banger, I never paid much attention to the engine or undercarriage, so I weathered it up just a little. This is a GREAT kit, and went together well. I'm going to use another one to build a model of my first brand new car, a '72 Nova SS350!

Thanks so much, guys! I'm gonna go back and add some hose clamps to the radiator and heater hoses, I didn't realize how obvious their absense would be!
