Looking good. Which Cord kit is this? The reason I ask is the one I have is molded in red and the fenders are one piece and the body is one piece.

I foiled these before primer because I am going to have the foil under and wipe the paint off later. This is just the body parts 15

When you foil before paint does it work as well as post foiling? Boy if it does I think that I would do it more often. Kinda takes the fear out of screwing up that prefect paint job by slipping with the razor knife ;D.

Looking better with each update. I think it is a cool old car. My Dad had 2 1937 Cords. Both dark Blue. I was trying to find the pictures the other day but so far haven't looked in the right place.

I am thinking go for it. The Cord kit I have is going to be a street rod. I plan to call it the "Cordette" Instead of the superchared Cord engine and front wheel drive. I am going to use the suspension and power train from a C-6 Corvette. I like the wheel and tire choice. Where did you get them?

That's some heavy duty body work you have going on there - looks smooth

Oh wow Walt, that is looking real good! When you do the chrome like that, how do you take the paint off? Sanding, laquer thinner, what? Have tried it before, but with limited results. Will look great with the hood sides for sure! Keep up the good work!

Real nice Walt! I used something similar to those for my '49 Ford beater. The one I started well over a year ago and still not finished!

Man, My hat is off to you! Great looking build so far. I'll echo the question... what method do you use to get the paint off your foil?

Here is the interior color but I think it looks a little old for a rod, I am thinking of a nice peanutbutter color and it will have black carpets.
