Here is my 2011 24 Hour build. It is the Fujimi kit of the Ford GT40. It came with a small fret of PE. I have not done anything to it since the 24 Hour build. How she sits is how it was at the end of the build. Overall I thought it was a nice kit. Everything fit well. The biggest complaint was the decals. Very brittle. I actually like doing decals and think that I am fairly good at them, but the silver ones won the battle. They cracked at the slightest touch. Paint was Tamiya rubbed down with Novus 2 & 1. Nothing else. The only thing I didn't do was the seat grommets. I tried to paint them, even drilled out the first several rows to get that black dot in the middle. Problem was, even if I could paint perfect circles, (and I can't), the molding of the grommets was not perfect. They were all a little different from each other. I ended up repainting the seats black.
I just noticed after posting the pics that the paint looks almost like a satin black. This is not the case. It is not contest quality but it is fairly shiny. It may be the diffusers from the photo booth I use?? Not sure why the paint looks so dull.
