Here is the glass I am going to clean up it's out of the AMT 65 Galaxie Here is most of all that I will be using to do this and maybe I will learn something through this and maybe some of you will to, so if you want to help or ask questions feel free to pipe in . All different grits what I am going to try here is show that it can be done with what we would have around and not be afraid of trying it and I will be using tooth paste to polish it out giggle This is where i am at starting with a coarser grit and working down to wet sanding it.

Just enough future to dip it in When you pull it out lay it on newspaper or paper towel so that it wicks off the extra future let it dry a couple minuites then place it on a clean spot so it doesn't stick to the paper And there we have it clear glass again and for my first time I am pretty inpressed myself and it's nothing to be intimidated with. And as always any question on how I did something just ask. cheers

Great Tutorial.
We do this almost exactly the same. I don't polish with toothpaste, I use Turtle Wax Polishing Compound. In the first step I just wet sand the glass with 2000 grit paper. Then dip it in Future. Thanks for posting this. I always like comparing what I am doing to other builders. You would be amazed how much you learn doing that. Iam always finding better ways to do things.

If you look at what I had their was some real deep scratches and glue scares so I had to sand it pretty good but if it was just scratched I would have just wet sanded it. On one of the boards I was on they asked a question of "What are you afraid of in model building" and it just makes me think of how many guys won't do something because they think it is to hard to do, guys that don't have a big income can use stuff they have around the house they can use and still finish their project.
