Here's my latest endeavor in attempting to put real fire on a 1/24 scale car with my airbrush. As I get more familiar with the technique and comfortable, I plan to do a full build with a flamed out paint job. For now, it's practice practice practice... Without the flash

Very cool Mike which paints are you using i have someof the Auto Air paints here but haven't got my nerve up to try anything yet plus i dont think the airbrush i have will do lines that small again great work this looks great Willie The paints I'm using are Tamiya acrylics. I plan to buy the HOK uro's but at $70 for the set I'm going to get my chops up before diving in to that amount of money. To do the flames this small you need an airbrush with a very small needle and a good compressor that you can dial the pressure down at. I just bought an H&S Infinity airbrush and a compressor. If you care to check them out, Brad at Idle Hands Hobbies is who I bought my set up from. He's a REALLY good guy and will give you a good deal. www.idlehandshobbies.com Send him an email as his website's still in the construction phase. Tell him I referred you.

A friend of mine in Florida painted this one. He is an air brush artist that builds model cars. It is done in HOK candy paints. His screen name is carmoddave. Many may know him. Here is a link to another one of his flame jobs. s92.photobucket.com/albums/l25/CarModDave/Frankenstude/I don't know how you guys do it. I guess I just need to get some scrap bodies out and try it. Looks great.
