Here is the initial pics of this project. AMT's '68 Road Runner prepainted kit. At first I was planning on stripping it all down and starting over, but have now decided to just work with what is there. Body and paint is pretty good for the most part, except for a mold line running from the lower rear corner of the windows out. Probably just going to live with it as I don't really feel like trying to sand, paint, and blend the area in. Going to detail paint some of the interior pieces, maybe foil the trim, and looking at a set of Keith Marks decals. Will keep yall updated.

Well, I decided to go ahead with this one. Very interesting working with everything already painted, but it sure is making it go quick. In just 2 days I have gotten this far! Painting has just been kept to the smallest touchups, nothing too involved. In fact, the only big areas to get painted are the inner fenders. The engine sides were painted red, but the other side was bare plastic. Semi gloss black now. And will most likely paint the headliner as well. Thought about removing the mold line at the c-post, but decided against. That would have most likely led to a total strip and repaint, which defeated the purpost of this kit. Didn't even detail the dashboard. Hope to have this done in another day or so. Thanks for looking!

Very interesting. I have built a couple pre-paint kits with my 5 year old grand daughter. She is interested in modeling and they are a great teaching aid. This looks like a good kit.
