Can anyone tell me the ratio, or a measuring fashion, for these two - I'm thinking maybe 5putty:1hardener or so? It is the Bondo 3M putty and hardener. The package states 1 inch diameter of putty with 1 inch strip/bead, but I don't use near this much each time I want to use the epoxy. The amount of the putty tube is 3 oz but no oz are stated for the hardener tube. From my research so far, I gather it's a learned thing and not critical, but I would like something more definitive if I can for mixing small amounts. Colby

My experience is that you jsut mix what looks right. The more hardener you uase the faster is goes off is what I was told. So I just mix it with a spot of putty like a quarter and a spot of hardener like a pencil eraser.

Just taking the advised and general ratios that are on the package directions and from the comment here (but on a much smaller scale) seemed to work just fine. Thanks for the comment Buck. I have never worked with this stuff before, but you do have to work very quick before it starts to get tacky and unworkable - about 1 min. It does sand nice, and I was able to make a nice edge. It's not as dense and hard edged as the one part spot and glazing putty, but it doesn't shrink like that though.
