here is a small update on the vette. i got the body cleared as shown in pic 1. all was going well until i went to fit the back glass. i tweaked the glass til it was pretty close and then it decided to snap down the middle. i took the glass from another kit and it fit even worse. after some head scratching i decided to graft in a c6 convertible rear section from a snap kit. also opened the trunk and built the jambs. still have a little more tweaking to do but i think it's looking pretty good so far. body after dupont clear...... roof and rear deck cut out....... new c-6 section going in........

I just knew that color was going to POP when you hit it with clear. Sorry to hear about the glass . On the other hand, the wheels look good!

Nice job on that interior - the lights and nitro are a nice touch too.

thanks guys, the vette placed first in custom class at the roanoke show yesterday. not bad for my debut in a "car" class. i lost the best automotive award due to some improperly mounted photoetch. i will correct the problem and make sure it dosen't happen on future builds. thanks again for the support on this build....it means a lot. p.s. the leds are from model train software. very nice guy to deal with and great products.
