How long do you guys let your clear gas out until you start to polish? This is something new for me and I dont want to screw it up.

I usually let mine dry ( Gas Out ) for at the min. for 3 days to a week, depends on the temp and humidty. Thats how I do Mine and I'm sure there are about 10 to 20 different ways. Did you use a hardner in the clear coat? John

It depends on what I'm clearing with. Anywhere from 3+ days.

One more tip. Wait until you cannot smell the clear. Everything I've read or heard says that if you can still smell it, it is still gassing out.

It all depends on what kind of clear I am using on the model. Dulpi-color 3 days min. If I am using the Krylon Crystal Clear the 24 hours. It is an Acrylic finish (like Future) and gasses out quicker. It is dry enough to handle in 10 minutes. I have been using it more and more because it is friendly to decals.

Typically....1 week. Again, as said previously, weather temp & humidity has alot to do with it. And the tip of smelling the clear is a good rule also. HTH 8-)RICK

I use automotive clears-With hardener-- You can rub/polish it out the next day. Anything I've used in a rattle can at least 3-4 days.
