2011 Annual Rimrock Plastic Modellers Show and Contest
Contest Date: October 1, 2011
Location: Shrine Auditorium, 1125 Broadwater Avenue, Billings
Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Entry Deadline: 11:00 AM
Ballot Deadline: 1:00 PM
Awards Ceremony: 2:30 PM
Entry Fee: $5 for the first model, $1 for each additional model. Junior Entries: $1 each
Judging by a panel of 6+ members of attending clubs will be employed except for special awards. No materials of any sort that are not entered into a legal class in the contest may be displayed on the tables, walls, or floors. No display cases allowed on the tables. Model display bases or accessories are permitted, but may be disallowed if space is limited. Placement of models on tables will be at the discretion of RPM members.
Builder of the Model Rule: The person entering the model must perform ALL of the painting and assembly of the model and its components—NO EXCEPTIONS will be made. No team built models will be allowed in the competition, but may be displayed on the Show Table. The use of aftermarket parts including but not limited to decals, photo-etched metal, resin, and turned aluminum, IS permitted in all classes except Out-of-the-Box.
Diecast Metal Models: Diecast models will be allowed when the builder is able to show that the model is built from a kit, and that the finished model is the work of the builder/entrant. Including the instruction sheet is recommended.
THE CONTEST COMMITTEE HAS THE RIGHT OF FINAL DECISION AS TO ELIGIBILITY OF MODELS, DESCRIPTION AND CLASS PLACEMENT, AND DISTRIBUTION OF AWARDS. THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO EXCLUDE MODELS AND/OR INDIVIDUALS FROM THE COMPETITION WHERE THAT BECOMES NECESSARY.
Theme Class: “A Point in Time”—Builder will provide documentation of the model in history. Ie: photo, newspaper article, book, screen capture.
