anyone have any ideas on how to shorten a long bed into a short?ive seen someone had made up a drawing with measurements but i cant find it

A long bed measures 8 1/2 ft, A short bed measures 6 1/2 ft. I usually take it off the front part of the bed then shorten the frame and drive shaft the same amount. That's inside of the bed, they come out pretty close. John
