Anybody here familiar with Alps printers? Specifically, whats the difference between the model numbers? MD1000, 1300, 5000, etc? Will they all do basically the same thing? Are the ink cartridges the same for all of them? Just askin'. Thanks!

Tommy, I cannot answer for all the models, but the 1000 and 5000 are basically the same, just the 5000 will hold more ink cartridges. And I know the 1000 and 5000 are definitely used for decal making.

Ok, thanks. Not sure if I want one or not. It's getting difficult to find anyone that wants to print custom decals anymore.

The problem as I've always understood it about Alps printers is that they don't support them outside of Japan anymore, and as such finding ink cartridges for them especially in white and the metallic colors is very pricey.
