O.K., now that I have figured out how to get my picture to post...I am "Hell on Wheels" (I am sure there is a better way to do it, but its working for me!!!!) My Dad saved all the truck literature that I had aquired as a kid when I was building on a regular basis...now some 25 years later...I have all the truck pamphlets and a renewed interest in building truck models. Number 2 is the re-issue from Round2, I wanted to build it a little different from what everybody else was doing...I really liked Freightliners green and silver paint scheme...but it had already been done several times. So to the paint scheme book I went, first what did I like and second what could I realistically reproduce with paint...The "Oxnard". The truck is straight out of the box with the additions of antennas, rubber fender extensions and "Scale Hardware" acorn nuts on the front wheels. I am really pleased with the way this one turned out and as soon as I can get pictures...there is a flatbed with tarped load to go with it. Attachments:

Finally got time to take pictures of the flatbed. It is the Round2 re-issue with several additions: First is obviously the load itself, small cardboard that 4 butter sticks come in. The tarps are paper towels painted with diluted white glue, then painted with acrylic paints. Straps are thin yellow ribbon from Wal-mart. Scratch built items include the strap ratchets, tool box, spare tire carrier and step ladder. Trailer was painted light gray and green to match Freightliner's chassis. I think it turned out really well...but I am sure that the real flatbed drivers will find fault with the straps and tarps....Looking at real trucks, it looks like I should have strapped the load down then covered it with the tarp. Too hard to replicate that many bungee cords!!! Maybe next time. Thanks for looking and appreciate all your comments. Attachments:
