I just wanted to drop a line to say Hi and let you all know I'm still around. I haven't been on in a while because of medical problems with my grandson Derek that my wife and I have been raising. He's had some serious issue with EB the horrible shin desease he was born with. We've almost lost him 4 times this last time he has been in the hospital since Nov. 1, He had to have a trachea operation on Nov. 28. He is doing real good now but probly won't be home till after the first of the year.

Even after all he's been through his smile still lights up the room

Thanks to everyone for the comments and prayers for Derek, Wendy and myself. Just got another kick in the groin. My sister has been fighting Cancer since Feb. she found she had it just after my Brother died of cancer. Now i just learned she is losing her fight with the cancer the Doctors don't think she will last long into the New Year I'm headed to Tennesee to see her the weekend before Christmas. News on Derek is he is doing well doctors think he will be able to come home about the middle of Jan

Your Grandson is one brave little fellow. My heart goes out to him. There is nothing more saddening in this world, then to see a child with health problems. They are one of God's special angels.
Give him a big hug, and tell him he is thought of in many prayers.

Some things are not meant to be as is with Derek. God must have needed a very special angel so he came and got Derek on February 17 2008. Derek's pain and suffering has come to an end and now we are dealing with ours. As things settle down around here I'm trying to get back into doing some models again and I'll get back on the board here soon.
