Thanks for the good words, the Astro I was just kind of playing around with to get some ideas. The cab was sitting on a completed DD Freightliner chassis. I was going to really do it but changed my mind and built it more or less stock with a couple of little tricks done to it. Will be posting some pics soon. Thanks again,.....................TIM

Great lookin rigs.I have to ask what are you using for your stacks?I'm wondering because I have a Freightliner FLC in my stash and I want to put bigger stacks on it.

Hi gautreau, For the stacks I use 9/32 by .014 wall aluminum tubing I get at the hardware store, or for a beefier look I use the 1/4 inch I.D. thick wall tubing. The aluminum polishes out real easy and you can cut it with a hobby knife or a small tubing cutter. For the elbows I just use 1/4 inch solid plastic rods from Plastruct or Evergreeen and use a lighter to heat and bend it in a 90 degree angle and just massage it to make it all fit. I also found that the "Chrome Silver" Model Master enamel hobby paint part number FS17178 will dry and look just like polished aluminum or chrome if you put it on a bit thick. Hope this helps and if you have any other ??'s just ask, that is what we are here for, to help outeach other. Take care...............................TIM

The wheels on the gold and maroon Pete are the stock Italeri wheels.
