A few years ago I started on this revell chevy street truck and got in over my head trying to customize it, I cut the rear frame clip off in hopes of make a notch and 4 link and making a bagged show truck out of it. I got frustrated and threw it back in the box and didn't touch it again until a few days ago. I had the intention of bashing it with my newly aquired 77 gmc wrecker and using the front frame clip, engine and cab. After getting into it, I realized I still had most of the important parts so I decided to rebuild it again as salvage yard/parts/shop truck. here's my progress over the last few days. wheels I'll be using and a big block from an amt 70 chevelle I might use starting to repair the cut frame also filling in the sunroof the frame back in one piece a mock up to show my wheels and the stance I want putty drying, bye bye sunroof and the chassis ready for paint

thanks for all the comments guys I have a few more updates. the chassis is done, the engine is almost there and I'm working on the body. This is a very oddly proportioned kit but I didn't want to get in over my head changing it. I just wanted to keep it simple and finish one for a change. I'll post more as I get more done

On one hand, the two different colors may be more interesting to look at, but for me, I would go with one color for the entire thing.

I guess it would depend what stage of the rebuild it was at. I think either way it's a winner. Your truck you decide.
