This is what happens when you try to smooth out paint and don't pay attention on curved surfaces. I burned though to the primer at about halfway on the hood. I was going to take a piece of paper with a small hole enough to shoot some paint then clear back onto the area. Thought i would give that a try before I gave it that freshly crushed look!! ;D Anyone else have ideas or am I on the right track?

been there done that ;D ;D. when i cut through on the beetle fender i repainted/cleared the whole fender. was this painted with airbrush or can? is it metallic/pearl or just a solid color? it can be fixed pretty easy......don't smash it. if you can answer those couple questions then i can get you going in the right direction for the repair.

Painted with a can and metallic. I have fixed a burn through before but i was not far with the polishing and had no wax on the car so I just shot some more paint and clear where I needed it. Also the paint was still fairly fresh, but now I have one side that was polished and waxed before i did this.
