Does anyone know how to search records for an older car's history? All the VIN searches (Carfax, DMV, etc...) are for 1981 up, with a 17 digit VIN. I'm trying to find information on a '67 Camaro that my sister used to have, which only has 13 digits in the VIN. So far I've come up with nothing. We'd just like to know if it still exists, and she might even be interested in buying it if we can find it. Any suggestions? Any online classic car VIN searches? Thanks!

You might try some Camaro enthusiast sites. Would the DMV be of any help?

Might try some Camaro Forums out there on the net or if you know someone in the DMV to to a search.

Thanks, guys. The DMV said their database only goes back to 1981, plus the car has to be registered in the state, so if is no longer in Georgia they wouldn't have it anyway. Now if I actually KNEW somebody there.....
I guess I'll register at some of the Camaro sites and see what happens.
