454 SS shop truck

I'm going for the retro shop truck with this one, I'm using the steelies and possibly to tires from the amt 62 catalina (if I can get the stance I want with them. going to be flat black with some patina and sanded through spots. I bought the kit as a parts lot on ebay, and was dishearted to find on of the spindles missing. After a few days I decided to man up and hone my scratchbuilding skills and make one. I still need to make the part the tie rod mounts to but I'll worry about it later, I'm just happy to have something to mount a wheel to. I flipped them upside down to get it lower.






I'm thinking of using this parts box dash (if you could tell me what it is out of that would be awesome) and bashing it with a factory chevy dash to get it to fit in the interior tub and keep the profile that matches the windshield but have the guages and shape of the vintage dash. I'm not sure if it will work or not but we'll see



and lastly for now, the wheels and engine have been shot in testors lime ice

a few updates for you

I've got the dash roughed in, I'm still not sure if I'll be using it, just depends on how it looks when I'm done. I have alot of work to do and a lot of body filler to use. any tips are welcome
