1963 Indy Winner

After finishing the slot car, I decided to do this car again in a bigger scale. Started with an old AMT double kit, and had actually started working on it back in the late 70's (yes, I am getting old). Luckily for me I was able to undo most of what I had done and start fresh. Here it is as of this morning:






Got the panel lines and rivit details added last night. Not sure they are spot on exact, but think they will work for this one. Also have a set of replacement decals on the way from Indycals. Thanks for looking!

Love it! The Parnelli Willard Battery #98 car is class all the way!...year I was born in 63 so I have a soft spot for this car...I got the old hall of fame trio kit with this one in it, all three are in pieces that need to be restarted. Always looked like a big job painting the blue inside of the red stripe with the old decal. Lookin good.
