i've been asked a lot lately about what i'm working on. i have the peterbilt dump truck commission build going pretty steady now and it will be delivered in november to the customer. the new build project will be a 1/16th scale peterbilt with 180" condo featuring a working ceiling fan, working big screen tv and running water for the shower, toilet and kitchenette sink. this project has been in the planning stages for over a year and will hopefully be finished late feb 2013. i have been making masters and casting parts and pieces for this new build, here are a few pics of where i'm at right now............. double hump rear fenders just about ready to go into silicon......... new rear tires just went into silicon today, this is the master new rear wheels with smooth hub cast seperate................... new front float and lift axle wheels cast with smooth hubs...... the start for the 180" condo.........................................

i don't normally show my initial "rough" work on my build projects........but i will on this one. nothing in these pics is finished. i have to sand and shape many things yet, somethings are permanently attached while others are just mocked into place for fitting other parts. my customers pete cab in 1/24 compared to the 1/16 sleeper....... kitchenette base cabinet, sink and overhead cabinets are being fitted. TV is mocked up and has been tested, everything worked as planned . ceiling fan has been mocked up and tested. next i will start the gas fireplace insert and more overhead cabinets..........................

All I have to say is...more more more. You have some mad scratch building skills...A man after my own heart. Are you going to open the cab doors? If so what do you plan on using for hinges? I've opened the doors on mine, but the piano hinges I have are 1/24 1/25 scale. Do you know where to find the correct parts. Again, great work. I'm really looking forward to see what comes next.
