Here are my awards.
Here is a picture of my Revell Wicked Chopper and the 3rd place trophy I received for the Miscellaneous Category.
Here is my 59 El Camino with the 1st Place Trophy for Competition Closed Wheel.
Here is my 69 GTX with the 1st Place Trophy for Pro Street.
Here is my 49 Merc with the 1st Place Trophy for Street Machine.
The final Pic is from the Drag Strip down the road. This, from what I heard all weekend, was the most coveted trophy given out. People were taking pictures of it at the awards table all weekend. This trophy is the actual award they give to the winners at the drag strip. (Like a Wally in NHRA) This is the 1st year it has been given out. It is supposed to be an every year deal going forward. The announcer from the drag strip, who also used to work on cars and race, picked out the Best Drag Car. As he was giving a very long dialog about the car, I had no clue it was mine until he looked at me and said he was looking at the guy right now. The trophy is made of a heavy marble/stone it weigns between 10 and 15 pounds and it is huge. It is by far the most impressive trophy in my collection. I was so proud to receive this award from an actual drag racing person. After the award was given to me he stopped by to talk to me about the model. A lot of NYers were ticked off that the I brought the trophy back to PA. But hey you can't please everyone.
Below are pics of me accepting the awards. They are very dark. I am waiting to receive copies from the photographer.
Here is the pic of me and my wife with John Schneider at the Syracuse Nationals.

Here is a link to the album of 1:1 Cars for the Syracuse Nationals if you are interested. This show is HUGE!! It is one of the biggest car shows I have ever been to. Unfortunately my back gave out on Saturday and I could not walk to see 1:1 cars on Sunday. My wife was a trooper and took some on Sunday until her back got too bad. She had a spinal fusion in 2006, so she did not get close to the number of cars that were actually there. They generally get over 7000 cars at this show. Hoping my back is better next year.
