Been wanting to experiment with a bmf cheap alternative. Got some of the cheapest alum foil I could find, I knew it would be thin. Tried some elmers adhesive spray first. It worked for a while, but dried up and was useless. I remembered I had a bottle of hob-e-tac around. It stays sticky after it cures. Tried it full strength the first try, it stuck way too much. The trimmings were hard to get of the body. So I diluted it with water, it was allot easier to work with. Tried it on a scrap body and it looks pretty good. I've seen military guys use it on airplanes it the past. It's not as thin as bmf. so it don't tear as easy. And I can make a sheet to last a very long time. Just playing around.

Great idea. I know a modeler in Portland, Oregon that has been doing this for years. He uses Elmer's white glue.

Thanx Buck. I always wondered if elmers glue would dry up and fall apart. I'll have to give it a try sometime cause this little 2 oz bottle of hobetac was almost 6 dollars, and that was probably 7 years ago. Around the same price as a sheet of bmf.
