While I let the magnum and the Lincoln completely dry out, I just had to start a project that I had already laid primer on. A 1964 Chevy impala. I've built quite a few of these so I know where the challenges will be and I'm familiar with most of the parts. It will definitely be slammed but I won't be using the low rider rims. Thinking more of a hot rod. Was going for a white top and blue body but after laying the white I just might keep it all white. What do you guys think?

Took the tape off and cleared it. I think I am going to skip the third color on the side panels. I'll do a mock up after the clear dries. The sun already set so ill take more pics tomorrow.

Another coat of clear and here she is in the sun. The undies and interior are a different shade of blue. Will add some white detail here and there to make it pop...I hope.

Alright so I came home today to work on the impala...I'm stuck. Can't decide on the wheels. Here are a few...ok a lot of choices. That's how undecided I am. :/ Ugh! 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. I thought I knew exactly where I was headed with this one then all of a sudden, I realized The rims and tires are going to make or break this car.

IMHO the wheels in picture #1 look good. They may be just a bit oversized. I also like the whitewalls in picture #5. I like the way they fit in with the white top.

1,2 or 3! Where did you source 2 and 3 from?

Great paintwork. As for the wheels I'd go for the 1st option.

The paint job looks great! Classic color combination yet timeless! Looks like it's coming along nicely. Keep up the good work!

After a tiring trip I put in a few hours on the bench. Photo-etch takes so much time. 3 hours and here's what I got done. Start of the engine Photo-etched Interior detail: window cranks, rear speaker, glove compartment emblem and keyhole, and some door emblems. Feels like it wasn't a lot. I'll have more time this week so stay tuned for more.

Well thanksgiving is gone, family is gone, and now some time on my bench. Been a while since I sat here.... Here's the underside of this one.
