This build up WIP, is one I'm currently working on for a friend of my dad's. It will 'represent' a sheriff's car from Butler county, here in southwest Ohio. The story: My father is a retired police officer, but started his career at the sheriff's dept. in 1965. He still does ride alongs wih deputy's in the county. The Deputy he rides with seen the model's that I had built for my dad, and wanted one. I had built my dad's first patrol car a few years back, a 65 Biscane wagon, that Butler county used back in the day. My father and I put a plan in place and decided to do 2 cars for his buddy, who will approach his retirement in a few years. One will be another 65 wagon, and this 77 Monaco. His first patrol car was a 78 Dodge St.Regis. This car was never done up in kit form, resin cast, or diecast. So the best plan of action was to do the Monaco. His first year on the road was 1977, so this works out perfect. The car will wear the correct county plate , with 77 on it. Alas, this is the car that the AERODYNIC light bar will go on. Here are a few pic's of the progress I have made so far. The body has it's black on, I will wait a few days then shoot the white (roof) . Then it will be polished out and foiled. Thanks for looking, and reading , Dave.

It really IS fantastic work. Many of us couldn't do nearly as well and the display shows skill and tasteful design. The small view of the interior proves your dedication to realism too. You are "The Earl Of Emergency" vehicles in modeling!

That looks very nice! I know what you mean about the kit not being the best to build, but it is an old stand by.
As for the photography...my skills are weak, but I am taking more pics and practicing. Most important, I re-read my camera owners manual. It is helping. I look at the pics I am posting on my forum and I can see a difference in just the last couple of months. Your pics look good, but it is just like building, learn the tools and practice to get where you want to be.
