I used to build models as a youth and got away from it when I started playing with the real thing. I picked it back up to help me improve my attention to detail as I tend to rush through things. I'm getting near retirement age so I figure I need to slow down just a bit, and I'm pretty good with my hands.

Models are a good way to let off steam and get creativity and patience working. Many of the models at these "clubs" are truly amazing, but whatever one puts into a model, the real goal is to have fun. Good luck!
