2013 Boss 302

Been commisioned to build this for a award for a guy. The local Air Museum is Raffling it off in a week. The guy who is going to receive this has been selling tickets like crazy. He's 90 YO, and a Veteran of WW2. He was in a bomber squadron in the Navy that snak the Jap ship Yamamoto. 2nd prize is a ride in a P-51 Mustang plane. The funds raised from the ticket sales are for a new wing for one of the founding members of the museum, who had a P-51 Mustang plane he restored, and was flying when he was killed in a accident. Thus the tie in with the Mustang. Here is what I hope to copy.

Very nice thought for a good cause. I hope you can get some decals to save time painting them on. Good luck, detailing will be fun with all the fotos of the typical 'Stangs (engines, interior, chassis, etc) on the Web.

As for decaling, all I have to do is the side stripes. I cut a template, and have some black decal paper from a pine car kit, that should work. The hood decal is in the kit. As for detailing over all it will be mainly curbside.



Oh yeah as for my payment for this build I waived my fee, as my Dad was also a Navy Vet in the same area at that time. Doing this one pro-bono.

Well I finished the build, shot a load of pics, and somehow they all disappeared from my camera??!!!! So will get the finished pics on Sat. at the presentation.
