Theme for Oct was supposed to be Emergency Service Vehicles but with low turnout during police car month I am changing it to Orange Model Month. Post up to 3 pics of any orange model you have built. Remember previous Model of the Month winners are not allowed to enter. Post a short description of what you built.

This dump truck was made from the Testors tractor kit and the AMT Gravel Trailer kit. The tractor frame was cut and lengthened. The bed of the gravel trailer was converted to a dump bed to fit the truck. The mud flaps are my creation and were printed on the home printer, as was the photo reduction of the Bannock County door emblem and the Idaho license plate. The cold weather guard for the radiator was made from white felt. The front wheels are steerable. The under-hood insulation blanket is crumpled tin foil from the kitchen. It may look slightly pink, but it is a high visibility orange. My photo lights hate that color!!!!! There are no bars in the radiator cover because this truck will have a snow plow on the front, someday, and the hood won't tilt if the bars were there and the snow plow was in place. This is how they do it on the real ones at our county shop. Thanks for looking!!!!

I have a orange one. Original issue of the AMT series built this back in the late 70's. Fully wired, and detailed. driver is a Ulrich Mini Man, with the helmet from a monogram kit.
