O.K. TMM family, here we go!!! We will start 2014 Model of the Month with a little twist. We have opened the MoM to ANY MODEL that fits in a specific time frame. For January the time frame is anything from prior to and including the year 1919. So show us what you've got!
You will have until December 24th to enter. We will then open voting on December 25th. Winner announced on January 1st. (I will ask for a little slack on the dates due to the Holidays. I will do my best to hit these dates).

Hi Kevin! I know that in the realm of automotive subjects there is not a lot to choose from. But this is open to any model. Ships, locomotives, a stagecoach perhaps. WWI aircraft could also fall in this time frame. Anyone got a T-Rex? Definitely prior to 1919... . We just want to open this up a little to get more participation from the board members.

Okay I'm in with this one built in 1953 by my Dad. he thought I needed a hobby so he bought this one, and built it for me, I wasn't even a year old yet. It still is in my collection. BTW it was the only model he ever built.

This is an Airfix 1904 Darracq. I built this after reading Terry Jesse's review in the model magazines stating this kit was actually 1/24th instead of the listed 1/32nd scale on the package. While small, it doesn't look out of place next to the other 1/24th-25th scale vehicles. It's the oldest model year car in my collection and I built it over a decade ago. The paint has faded in spots and it's got some warts, but I like it.
