I did several Master's for Randy Frost of Perry's Resin, and 21 month's later I have yet to recieve all the master copies he owes me,I recieved 4 emails stating they were or would be in the mail the next day and nothing.I even recieved a phone call from him personally telling me they would be in the mail that next day,I can't for the life of me understand why it's so hard to live up to your obligations or agreements,so any of you that have done any Master work for him,I sincerely hope you are not in any hurry.I don't feel almost 2 years is an unreasonable amount of time to want whats owed to me,especially when promised in black and white, and yes I did save the emails, just my rant,Randy Izatt

Hi Randy, I haven't dealt with Perry's, but I've had similar problems with other casters. One has had two of my masters for nearly 4 years now. Every time I run into him, he says the molds are done and I will get my copies soon! Yeah, right! Another company had the masters for over a year, they wanted money from me so they could buy mold rubber, I gave them money, still nothing, so I finally went and collected the masters and cut my losses. One company that really treated me well is Jimmy Flintstone! Three months after he got the master, I got it back, plus a bunch of copies, plus some free copies of some of his other items! If and when I get some time to finish some more masters, I'll probably talk to him first!

Boy this sounds like what I was going through with my problem. And I thought 3+ months was too long. Sorry you're going through this. I know how you feel.

Wow, I just did a baja bug body for Jake and it has only taken him around a month and he was out of state for a week or 2. I have the same trouble ordering resin parts from people because they get your money and then you have to fight for your products. Sorry to hear about that guys.If you ever want anything smaller casted in a timely fashion look up Jake aka Bigjeepzz. Doug R Doug R

I encountered this type of stuff about ten years ago with Ron Cash when he was casting. Last January upon getting back into the swing of things with the Models I met up with Ron Anderson of RMR I did a few masters for him and had all my stuff back within 1-2 months I would highly suggest him for any of your projects. However he didnt want to do any wheels and tires So I decided to give it a try! It does take some time, money and patience up front to learn the process and to buy the rubber and casting medium.
I wanted some wheels and tires for the larger trucks and light commercial vehicles that I have wanted to build for myself, After a lot of trial and error things are moving along reasonably well now and have recently offered some of my castings on Ebay. Sales are good I am getting a lot of good comments on my products
I will tell you that I have not started to make any profit as of yet
I have built up a good size inventory of various items.
I just keep telling my self that its for fun, and I wont get rich doing it and I want to keep the cost reasonable enough for others to buy it and enough for me to cover my cost most importantly I am getting the parts I need and helping others get some parts they need to build thier projects.
Overall, The hardest part for me is to visulize and understand what and how the mold needs to be made and then making it.
Casting the parts once the molds are made is the easy part
I encourage everyone to try it for yourself, I started with the Smooth on products- They have a great video and the starter prices are decent Check em out at Smooth-On.com

I use Smooth-On products! Great stuff, and great instructions and company support! I like the fact that you can order different products with different characteristics, to suit your needs.
I might be interested in some of your truck wheels, if you decide to sell them!
