Great remodel! It would be hard for me to do one "stock," but your work proves it works fine. The biggest improvement over time is the bare metal foil (BMF) application. Thanx for sharing fotos that inspire!

Thank you for the comments! I agree BMF is excellent stuff! As for building a stock AMX...I used the Drag-On-lady as a base car and built a Big Bad Blue AMX in street/strip form. I just added a stock hood, wider back tires and glass pack mufflers to the race headers. The rest of the pics are at: themodelcollection.proboards.com/thread/37/1969-big-bad-blue-amx

That is cool, Robert! You should have made the blue one a separate post. I have a DragOn Lady kit, unstarted, that I was gonna do box stock. Mine has a factory flaw in one rocker panel, but will be an easy fix, especially as the actual car did not have the ribbed rocker trim. But then I managed to get my hands on a Johan photo etch set for it, so may put a little bit of extra detail into it!

These AMX kits are interesting as there seems to have been very poor quality control. They managed to put out quite a few with flaws. I would like to build more, but the prices are getting up there. As for a separate post for the Big Bad Blue; sounds like a plan to me.
