Hello folks, just joined up. During a Google search the Balough Batmobile build came up, and thats all it took! I am looking forward to looking through all the builds and I have a few builds I would love to share as well. Other than the outrageous costs of kits nowadays this is a really great time to be building models in my opinion. Lots of great new products out there, lots of great repops, and great aftermarket and techniques. Take care all, and model on!! Here is a teaser....

So well done! The creative paint job and color selection are excellent! Thanx for posting, but more fotos of this beauty should go up here. How's the engine?

Thank you folks. This model and a bunch of my cars were built probably 10-15 years ago. My modeling has always been a creative outlet, and a bit of selfish indulgence. They were more about the subject, rather than the details. So you probably wont be see tiny details like plug wires, brake lines, wire looms, ect. And I am sure my craftsmanship leave alot to be desired. But that said, you will see some not every day mods, unorthodox techniques and subject matters. I have a long way to go to be a really good modeler but I work at it as much as I can. The last few years I have found a new niche, large scale airplanes, 1/32 and 1/24 P-51 Mustangs primarily. They are such a departure from car modeling, the way you build them, the way you paint them and the detail that is achievable with them. I am only hoping some of these new found skills can transfer to the cars, as I have a bit of a stash of cars still waiting to be built. I see you have a section for other subjects, so maybe I will post up some of my latest Mustang projects. But a few nights ago, I set the big Mustangs aside and started work on a wingless sprinter, with a bit of reworking, I will post up that here in the next few days. For now, here is another shot of the West Coast Upright Super Modified, circ.1974 and a car carrier that I built. (The car carrier was actually modeled after a 1:1 car hauler that I was in the process of building while I raced, but ended up selling the project when I moved. More to come folks.....

I always tell new members to be sure to show us your old builds and what you are currently working on. Please be sure to tell us about your work. It is always interesting to see people's work-in-progress pictures.

I have been spending the past few nights being completely overwhelmed by the amazing builds here. Not to mention a bit intimidated... The quality of the models here are extraordinary. I have been trying to find pics of my old car builds, but seem to be lacking in wip pictures. I will post up what I have and then see what I can add to that. Thanks again for the great welcome, and great site.
