1953 Ford work truck - updated 11/12

This is the third 53 I have been working on. I was going to save it for the April MOTM over at jerrys cherrys but 6 months is way too long. I'll be done with this one a lot sooner so I'll think of something else for then. Here are some progress shots.

This one has taken a big turn. Not going to be a work truck after all. Here are some progress shots. Decided to go with the stock grille. Blacked out behind it as its a mistake I often make. Not this time. Worked on the bed. Added balsa wood small steps of styrene painted chrome. The bed is ow in place.

Looking goooood! The engine fuel system (cross ram injectors?) are a pleasant change. Was there a special reason for different inner box fenders? It looks O.K. but the stock ones would have done as well, and it seems like extra work to do your own. Good luck and thanx!

Thanks guys. I'm building three of these pickup in different styles. One of the beds was already like that and it fit best with this build. I wouldn't have modified it myself for this style. Not sure what the original plan was. It should be done this weekend.
