As always for me, WIP and final pics will be in this thread. Some of you may have seen my pity party in the "Off Topic" section. "Simple model kicking my butt." I have gotten over myself and decided to share this build with you. First up is the box art. I actually like the color of the box art model, but I wanted to do mine in orange. One of the complaints I had read about was the poor fit of the two piece seats. It is as bad as they said...haha. I have seen pictures of this model where the builder did not fix the seats and it wasn't pretty. Here is a picture of the amount of filler needed to fill the large gap. The rear seat was just as bad.

I have been working on this little Jeep and am slowly but surely making progress. The body paint did not come out as I had hoped. Too many coats made it much darker than I wanted. I am not going to strip it and repaint it. This was to be a quick build. I'll show you two pictures. The first one is how it looks to me. The second one, which was taken with a flash, is how I had hoped it would be. Who knows, maybe in sunlight it won't look so bad. I have also repaired my botched interior. It is not perfect, but doesn't look to bad.

Sure looks good to me. Excellent paint. You're right to take time to do the interior well. Any open top model benefits hugely if a little bit of care is taken to improve interior with putty and paint. I recommend a "wash" of dark (or light, as appropriate) paint on seats to make them look a little more used and to bring out details. It reduces the plastic flat-seat look that's so phony. Dash dials are another bonus. Thanx for update.

Looks good. Nice color choice. I have had a lot of fun with this in the metal form. Still have one in the stash. Plastic would be much easier to open the hood on and add a Hemi.
