Pretty cool! You got the engine color right. Even without wiring one can make engines look really good with a "wash" of thinned black/brown paint. It flows into crevices and if too much goes on, a dry paint brush can take up extra paint. Also, a bit of silver or "steel" color paint on bolt heads with a brush also helps. Good luck with the rest and let us know how the Ace store brand silver looks when dry. Thanx!

Looks like it is off to a great start. I like the sounds of the color combo. Engine looks good as does the exhaust. I see in the background that you have a good assortment of Vallejo paint. How do you like it? Do you brush paint or airbrush it? Vallejo appears to be making an impact on the hobby.

Thank you for the tips on the engine. That is good old Model Master Acryl International Orange. John, I love it. My wife got me the big 72 bottle set one year for my birthday. When I brush paint, I use Liquitex Flow Aid to thin. For airbrushing, I thin it with Tamiya thinner.

Well, I got some work done on the Nomad this weekend. Finished the frame and attached the engine and tranny. And I started laying the color for the interior. I want this with come modern safety features so I scratch build some three point seat belt setups.

She is coming along nicely. Nice job on the "Chevrolet" on the valve cover.
