.... built for a challenge on another forum ............ one foreign, one American
... The foreign build replicates the '51 English Ford Anglia of R.D.Thomas of Pampa, Texas. This little C/G Anglia dominated Modified Eliminator in general and C/G in particular at Amarillo Dragway in the early 1970's .......... this is about the best I could do with a very badly warped and broken body in a very marginal Revell kit .... replaced the kit's Olds engine with a Hilborn injected small block Chevy and a BW T-10 4-speed.... also replaced the horrible kit tires and wheels with these American mags from Comp Resins and tires from the parts box
... The American build is a replica of K.S. Pittman's gorgeous 1941 Willys ....... the build is pretty much a box stock build of the Big John kit ........ only modifications are clear windows, a Vertex magneto from Pro Tech, and Cobracolors Molten Orange Pearl paint covered with a Cobracolors Candy Mayan Gold overspray
