Halloween type colors, but a fine paint and decal production. Allowing the shell logo is surprising since, to the best of my knowledge, they never provided NASCAR with gas, or did they?

Providing gasoline for Nascar was never a prerequisite for sponsoring a car .......... Shell also sponsored Bobby Labonte and Tony Stewart's Busch car, Texaco sponsored Davy Allison, Phillips 66 sponsored Hut Stricklin, dick Trickle, and others, BP sponsored Dave Blaney, FINA sponsored Buddy Baker and Robby Moroso, and at the time Sunoco sponsored Sterling Marlin and Terry Labonte, Union Oil with their "76" brand was the official supplier of gasoline for Nascar. Exxon, Gulf, and Marathon were also associate sponsors on multiple race cars.

Thanx for the gasoline sponsor question. When I think of NASCAR there's the possibility of letting the free market run versus a wealthy long term sponsor of gas for the racers have "exclusive" rights. "76" and "Union" seem to be tattooed into my brain after decades of them being sole supplier of fuel.
