I pulled this kit off of the shelf after letting it sit uncompleted for 8-10 months. Now I remember why I stopped building it. At first you can tell its an old casting. Probably from the 70's. The fitment is poor and the molded chassis was kinda warped. It was very difficult to line up the cab and bed especially on the passenger side. If you look at the box art you will notice there are no shots of the passenger side. Hmmm, I wonder why? Because I was doing a lot of custom work on this one its taking a lot longer than anticipated to complete and the less than stellar quality doesn't help. Still with work a quality build can be acheived. I would like to hear of others efforts with this kit. Either way I'll complete it. Alex.

I finally finished this kit after almost a year. It came out ok. In my opinion this kit was less than stellar with poor fitting parts, but I made due and I think with a litte effort it came out nice. Alex.

Hi Bobby.
Orange Mist and Champagne Gold over a white base. Both from Dupli-Color.
Alex.

On mine the Stock Grille and Bumper does not line up with the Cab at all.... Mine didn't either. I had to cut away material from the fenders to make it work. Alex.

I had a bad experience myself with this kit sometime ago when I couldn't line up the cab with the bed. After sometime I just gave up on it and used it as a donor for a 1960 Chevy pickup instead.

I'm sorry Alex but I used up the parts from the 72 Chevy pickup for other projects as well as the fore mentioned 60 Chevy pickup.

It's been years since I built one of those kits. Nice to know what to watch for when I build the next one.
Alex, yours came out super!

well ive never built the chassis's but i have used three bodies on variouse monster trucks and the seemed to work very well. its very hard to find a decent long box standard cab truck in my neck of the woods.
